This course is designed to teach individuals basic life support (BLS) for the home and workplace (not intended for healthcare providers). You will learn how to administer CPR to adults, children and infants. Learn to assess the signs of sudden cardiac arrest (SCA), heart attack, stroke and foreign-body obstruction (FBAO). Learn to handle emergency situations, prevent disease transmission, administer chest compressions and operate an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
This course is intended for any individual that need or want CPR/ AED Certification and training for infants, children and adults. This includes parents, grandparents, babysitters, teachers, child care workers, bus drivers, adult residential care personnel, employees and others.
Upon successful completion and competent performance of the required core knowledge and skills objectives all students receive a 2 year ASHI CPR/ AED certification card.
